Updates from the Bureau of Justice Statistics on the National Crime Victimization Survey

During this event, panelists will describe the recent efforts and updates regarding the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) and the Victimization Statistics Unit at the Bureau of Justice Statistics.

This panel will include updates on the NCVS data collection, including the impact of COVID-19 and new data products. Findings from the NCVS 2018 Identify Theft Supplement and 2017 Supplemental Fraud Survey will be discussed. Also, the development of BJS’ new victimization data tool will be discussed and a demonstration will be presented. Finally, updates from the NCVS Instrument Redesign and Testing Project activities will be provided.
