The purpose of this award, one of several projects funded under the Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Grant Program, is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to assist victims of human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended.
Miami-Dade County, through their Coordinated Victims Assistance Center, will provide specialized services for victims of human trafficking, using a Family Justice Center model. This two-year project will provide services to trafficking victims identified within the Miami-Dade area of Florida. In addition, the grantee will improve the capacity of communities to respond to human trafficking victims through the development of interagency partnerships and through training and public awareness activities.
