The purpose of this award, one of several projects funded under the Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Grant Program, is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to assist victims of human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended.
The New York Asian Women's Center, Inc. will provide services to victims of human trafficking, with a focus on providing culturally specific services to Asian victims identified within New York City, as needed. In addition, the program will increase the capacity of communities to respond to human trafficking victims through the development of interagency partnerships and conducting training and public awareness activities.
