Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $500,000)

Under the FY 2018 Integrated Services for Minor Victims of Trafficking program, all grantees are required to serve all minor victims (boys and girls under age 18) of all forms of human trafficking (sex and labor). The grantee will work with OVC Program Managers and Training and Technical Assistance Providers to ensure all victims are served. Center For Family Services, Inc., (CFS) will expand services to minor victims of human trafficking and their families through Together Youth Shelter (Together) Human Trafficking Services for Minors. This project will provide child-centered, trauma-informed referrals and direct services, including shelter and housing; case management; education and employment assistance; legal services; crisis intervention; mental health and substance abuse services; and family reunification to 15 victims in year one and 45 victims over the 36-month project period. Services will be provided for as long and as frequently as needed. Together provides emergency shelter; individual, group, and family counseling; medical services; outreach and advocacy, and information and referral services to youth under 18 and their families. The goal of Together Youth Shelter Human Trafficking Services for Minors is to increase the social and emotional capacity of runaway and homeless youth through shelter and non-shelter services that promote well-being, family reunification, and a successful transition to adulthood.
