Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $643,020)

The funding will support the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division by enabling them to serve victims of the May 18, 2018 shooting at the Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, TX.  Program funds will support necessary and ongoing trauma-informed, evidence-based healing and resiliency-related services to direct and indirect victims of the shooting.  This award will reimburse the Santa Fe Independent School District (SFISD) for costs incurred related to the establishment of the Wellness Counseling Suite, which is a resiliency center for victims, and other victim-related costs as described in the application.
