FFY2022 - OVC Human Trafficking Priority 2 - State of Tennessee

The Tennessee Justice-Involved Human Trafficking Services Program will enhance services to victims of human trafficking (HT) who are currently incarcerated in Tennessee prisons or have recently been released to community supervision. The grant will be administered by the TN Office of Criminal Justice Programs and implemented through subawards to three community-based human trafficking agencies: Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking (CCAHT), serving east TN; Thistle Farms, serving middle TN; and Restore Corps, serving west TN.  Each agency will implement trauma-informed, therapeutic and supportive services for adult female victims of human trafficking currently in custody of TN Department of Correction (TDOC), as well as those under community supervision through probation/parole. The Tennessee Justice-Involved Human Trafficking Services Program will deliver victim-centered, specialized services to victims of human trafficking by providing a full-time therapist who will coordinate one-on-one and group therapeutic services onsite in the prison setting, as well as in a community setting for those under supervision of probation/parole. Funding through the program will significantly increase the capacity of each HT agency to address the growing number of requests for services they receive from TDOC staff and other partners, as well as directly from victims themselves. The Tennessee Justice-Involved Human Trafficking Services Program will deliver victim-centered, specialized services to victims of human trafficking by providing a full-time therapist who will coordinate one-on-one and group therapeutic services onsite in the prison setting, as well as in a community setting for those under supervision of probation/parole.
