YWCA Kalamazoo’s (YWCA) Comprehensive Services for Underserved Survivors of Human Trafficking project will address the problem of the unmet employment and economic opportunity needs of survivors of human trafficking in West Michigan. Through this project, YWCA will establish targeted initiatives to provide financial services for survivors, including credit repair and debt remediation, flexible financial assistance, financial counseling and education, career empowerment services, job training, Know Your Rights clinics and direct legal representation of survivors on the range of their civil legal needs. To ensure the sustainability of this initiative, YWCA will train providers of financial and workforce services to address the specific needs of trafficking survivors.
