Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $475,000)

The Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, Inc., a nonprofit community health organization located in Omaha, NE, will use this funding to continue its human trafficking program by: (1) continuing to employ a .50 FTE Project Coordinator, and a .45 FTE Victim Advocate; (2) expanding its collaborative partnerships with other human trafficking organizations and responders to provide American Indian and Alaska Native victims of human trafficking with access to additional services and support; (3) providing training for staff members of collaborative partner agencies; and (4) conducting community outreach and awareness efforts to educate professional and members of the community about the needs of American Indian and Alaska Native victims of human trafficking.
