Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $549,345)

The goal of the FY 2019 Direct Services to Support Victims of Human Trafficking Program is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to victims of human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended. Funding through this program supports direct services to victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking, as well as for efforts to increase the capacity of communities to respond to human trafficking through the development of interagency partnerships, professional training, and public awareness activities over a three-year project period. This award made to Lincoln Tubman Foundation is funded under Sustaining Capacity to Provide Comprehensive Services which is designed to provide funding to organizations to strengthen their capacity to provide comprehensive services for victims of all forms of human trafficking.

Lincoln Tubman Foundation, DBA: Tri-County Human Trafficking Task Force will serve Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties, SC. The Task Force is recognized by the South Carolina Attorney General as the official human trafficking task force for the Tri-County area with the Chair serving on the SC Attorney General's Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force. This project will enhance the provision of comprehensive victim services to all victims of human trafficking including adults, minors, females, males, LPR’s, and foreign nationals. Services will be monitored by the Project Director and Grants Compliance Manager either speaking with clients or service providers directly weekly. For minor victims, services will be monitored by the Child Advocacy Center and Doors to Freedom. CA/NCF
