Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $400,000)

The purpose of this solicitation is designed to prevent/reduce victimization of girls who are vulnerable to sex trafficking. Applicants funded under this solicitation are expected to replicate and scale-up prevention and early intervention programs (including mentoring programs) for girls who are at risk of or are victims of sex trafficking that have undergone rigorous evaluation and/or have a track record of success. The award made to World Literacy Crusade of Florida is funded under FY 2020 Preventing Trafficking of Girls Category 1 which is designed to work in Miami-Dade County, Florida to prevent the victimization of girls ages 13 to 17 who are vulnerable to sex trafficking through its Girls Intervention Prevention Plus (GIP-PLUS) Program by Girl Power.
