Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $298,801)

The US Together, Inc. project will provide direct services to survivors of female genital mutilation and cutting (FGM/C) and those who are at risk of undergoing this brutal procedure in the US or abroad. The project will serve participants in Franklin County, Ohio. Projects partners Central Ohio Somali Medical Association, Advocating Opportunity; Legal Aid Society of Columbus; Ohio Domestic Violence Network (ODVIN), Noor Islamic Center, Somali Community Association, Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, Somali Bantu Youth & Family, SomaliCAN, CAIR Ohio2 , and New African Immigrants Commission will assist with providing medical, legal, support, and advocacy services to participants.
