The purpose of this award under the OVC Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program is to enable the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency to support the victims of the Tree of Life synagogue mass violence shooting in Pittsburgh, PA on October 27, 2018. A gunman killed 11 and injured 7including 5 police officerswhile the remaining 13 people in the building escaped physically unharmed. Funding will provide supplemental crisis response and consequence management services to help victims continue to heal and cope with probable re-traumatization. with probable re-traumatization.
