Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2020, $737,618)

The goal of the FY 2020 Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Programs is to enhance the quality and quantity of services available to victims of human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, as amended. Funding through this program supports direct services to victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking, as well as for efforts to increase the capacity of communities to respond to human trafficking through the development of interagency partnerships, professional training, and public awareness activities over a three-year project period. This award made to The Salvation Army Delaware’s Anti-human trafficking program, Restoration Now (TSA-RN), the only residential anti-human trafficking program in DE, will maintain, expand, and enhance the scope of services they offer victims of sex and labor trafficking. OVC funding will enable them to maintain their existing provision of trauma-informed, intensive case management support to victims of human trafficking who find shelter with TSA-RN. They will also expand their work to include job-readiness support, training and collaboration with law enforcement and the criminal justice system, and participation in the state’s broader human trafficking quantification efforts.
