Description
This is a proposal to conduct an implementation study during the third year of the Child Fatalities demonstration initiative.
In FY2019- OVC launched the demonstration initiative Reducing Child Fatalities and Recurring Child Injuries Caused by Crime Victimization. It is a demonstration initiative which requires a national evaluation. However, the previous leadership removed the funding for the national evaluator. The TA provider was able to secure foundation funding during years 1 and 2 to understand some lessons learned by the sites during the planning phase and early implementation. Those findings will help to inform this final evaluation. The purpose of the implementation study is to summarize the work done by the five demonstration sites to reduce childhood fatalities due to neglect. The evaluation will be grounded in the theories of change developed by the demonstration sites during the planning year, the demonstration sites' own evaluation plans, as well as the overall theory of change and evaluation of the technical assistance and learning exchange models that sit at the Alliance level.
