OVC FY 2022 VOCA Victim Compensation Fellow
The individual who is awarded funding under this program will work to—
- identify barriers that prevent all victims of crime, including victims of color, from accessing and receiving compensation,
- improve support and resources for state victim compensation programs, and
- promote equity in access to and receipt of compensation funding.

Restitution Resource Center
The RRC works with state agencies and local jurisdictions to effectively order, collect, disburse, fulfill, and enforce victim restitution. States may request technical assistance to advance data collection and sharing, improve coordination between various agencies, and develop policies to enhance the management of restitution practices. OVC funds the Council of State Governments and National Crime Victim Law Institute to operate the RRC.

The VOCA Fix
On July 22, 2021, President Biden signed the VOCA Fix to Sustain the Crime Victims Fund Act of 2021 (VOCA Fix). The VOCA Fix became effective immediately and the provisions of the Act—
- Required monetary penalties from federal deferred prosecution and non-prosecution agreements to go into the Crime Victims Fund.
