In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the OSU STAR Trauma Recovery Center is excited to offer, Community Brief Emotional Support Team (B.E.S.T.) Training and Know Your Resources: Victims’ Rights free of charge. Participants will learn strategies for how to recognize, empathize, intervene, and support others who may be struggling or suffering. Participants will have the opportunity to consider the impact of stress and trauma on their own lives, and learn effective ways to heal and stay healthy. Additionally, participants will learn about the resources and rights available to survivors of violence. Open to anyone in the community. Seating is limited to 50 participants in order to keep the conversation robust and intimate simultaneously. Lunch will be provided.
