The Leon County Sheriff's Office Victim Advocate Unit is hosting the "Hike and Seek Justice" event. On Saturday, April 27, 2024, they will offer anyone in the community a chance to walk with an advocate to ask questions, understand victim rights, and access resources to help their individual needs while walking around Pedrick Pond Park, Tallahassee Florida. In addition, "Healing and Hope-Centered Lifestyle Workshops" hosted by local experts will be offered. Local agencies will also be able to set up tables to answer questions on how they could be helpful to someone in need.

The "Hike and Seek Justice" event will allow survivors, family members, and community members to feel safe and secure in the natural beauty of Leon County. This unique event will also be more inclusive to those neurodiverse individuals that may not normally attend large events because of the one on one and small group format we are offering. Along the hiking trail, there will be strategically placed yard signs with victims' rights facts and conversation starters so the advocates can educate and communicate with the hikers.
