Financial Litigation Unit, Office of the U.S. Attorney, Eastern District of Pennsylvania

Despite a mounting caseload and increasing debt collection duties, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania's Financial Litigation Unit collected more than $17 million in restitution in Fiscal Year (FY) 2003. Also during FY 2003, the unit collected more than $25 million in criminal fines. This group has a positive impact on others, such as prosecutors and probation officers, while ensuring that offenders comply with the financial obligations of their sentences.
