U.S. Department of Justice: Victim Notification System (VNS)

This free, automated system provides important information to victims of crime in federal cases. In many cases, victims will receive letters/emails generated through VNS containing information about the events pertaining to their case or any defendants in the case.

National Crime Victim Law Institute: Rights in Systems Enforced Project

This OVC-funded project supports a national network of legal clinics that provide legal representation to assist victims in asserting and seeking enforcement of their rights in criminal cases, and, as necessary during and in support of such representation, provide those victims representation on collateral civil legal matters arising from the victimization.

Tribal Court Clearinghouse

A resource for Tribal justice systems and individuals involved in improving justice in American Indian and Alaska Native communities, this clearinghouse provides information on a variety of areas, including federal legislation, Tribal court decisions, and Tribal court funding.

Legislationline

Legislationline is an online resource, information, and documentation center dealing with the rule of law and the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. The service, provided by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation, contains information on such topics as violence against women and human trafficking.

Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website

This initiative is an unprecedented public safety resource that provides the public with access to sex offender data nationwide. The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Justice and state, territorial, and Tribal governments, working together for the safety of adults and children.

National Criminal Justice Association

The National Criminal Justice Association represents state, Tribal, and local governments on crime prevention and crime control issues. Its members represent all facets of the criminal and juvenile justice community, including law enforcement, corrections, prosecution, defense, courts, victim-witness services, and educational institutions to federal, state, and local elected officials.

National Crime Victim Law Institute

This organization actively promotes comprehensive and enforceable legal rights for crime victims, and access to knowledgeable attorneys to help protect those rights in every case, through victim centered legal advocacy, education, and resources.

Battered Women's Justice Project

The Battered Women's Justice Project offers training, technical assistance, and consultation on the most promising practices of the criminal and civil justice systems in addressing domestic violence.

Restorative Justice Exchange

The Exchange seeks to strengthen restorative practices in programs for prisoners, victims, and families of prisoners.
