Enhancing fairness and justice for victims requires a process of social change built on a balanced approach of legal advocacy, training & education, and public policy. 2020 marks 20 years since NCVLI began advancing victims' rights through that approach. This panel presentation will discuss key cases and moments in legal advocacy that have shifted the victims' rights landscape over the last 20 years, identify common threads in successful litigation, and examine the opportunities for legal advocacy in the years to come.
