Uniting Against Hate: Connecting Community Voices & Strengthening Law Enforcement Partnerships

The Civil Rights Division is hosting a forum focused on the Justice Department’s efforts to combat hate-motivated violence and incidents. This forum will highlight recent prosecutions as well as the United Against Hate community outreach and engagement program. The forum will also include survivor voices and bring together community groups, leaders, and law enforcement to share their experiences in countering unlawful acts of hate.

Along with federal government leaders, featured speakers include:

  • Jamie Byrd-Grant, Houston Police Department and daughter of James Byrd Jr.
  • Damon Hewitt, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law
